The Warehouse Manager will have general management responsibilities for our 3PL distribution warehouse and kitting and assembly facility located 5 minutes from our main operations facility. You will have management responsibility for material receipt, inventory control, order configuration, outbound processing, order/shipment quality, kitting project assembly and other value-added services. You will adjust team schedules as necessary in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory management and kitting and assembly areas and enjoy being responsible for growing a team and constantly striving for improvements in efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to and working with the Director of warehousing & Fulfillment you will:

  • Manage a staff of approximately 10+ exempt, nonexempt and temporary associates.
  • Train, motivate and lead teams and provide warehouse associate performance reviews, develop and implement continuous learning plans.
  • Oversee daily operations and setting production schedules to maintain SLAs.
  • Implement and manage key performance indicators.
  • Optimize operations processes with an eye towards automation and new processes to improve efficiencies.
  • Work collaboratively with internal leadership and team members throughout the company to maintain our high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Assist with and make recommendations for inventory management, receiving and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with logistics team members to manage inbound and outbound freight

Experience and Skills

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 5 years in a combination of 3PL, e-commerce and kitting/assembly line production, physical distribution, storage facility design/management, operations management and resources management.
  • Be a hands-on working manager
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Inventory Procedures
  • Comfortable with technology and use of a computer
  • Current, valid driver's license
  • Ability to walk, stand and/or sit for 8+ hours a day
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

 

A plus if you:

  • Have experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems for warehouse and operations tasks and management
  • Have experience with logistics and management of or negotiation of freight and small package carriers
  • Knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems or freight management software
  • Experience recruiting warehouse talent or working with temporary staff agencies
