This position can be in our office in Lebanon, NJ or remote.

The Business Development Executive focuses on the process of finding
new business to business prospects and new markets. This role is a
quota carrying role responsible for prospecting, developing,
converting and retaining new client relationships. Major duties
include creating prospecting campaigns, creating email contact
sequences, networking and cold calling. This position also is
responsible for conducting discovery calls, collaborating on and
designing creative capabilities and product decks, project managing,
upgrading/cross selling existing accounts, renewing accounts, and
providing superior customer service. The successful Business
Development Executive updates sales and contact activities in the CRM,
works well in a team environment, is highly organized, and has
excellent client skills and situational fluency. You will be working
with Fortune 1000 clients, and looking for director level and above connections.
1) General responsibilities (20%)
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities
- Builds relationships with customers and suppliers
- Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye
toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t
- Manages key client relationships and works to build new ones
- Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands
- Identifies and recommends new services
- Researches and identifies new markets
- Conducts webinars and presentations to raise the brand or
product profile
- Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts
- Travels to vendor locations, and other locations
- Fulfills requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential customers
- Uses CI-Group tools to track prospects, accounts, opportunities,
and pipeline
- Stays on top of business news
- Actively networks
2) Prospecting (35%)
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve goals
- Conduct prospecting campaigns using tool provided by CI-Group
- Conduct LinkedIn company/people searches
- Attend lead generating conferences as approved by the VP Sales
- Network in your own community
- Obtain introductions/referrals
- Make cold calls, set appointments for discovery, demo and pitch calls
- Formulate messages to prospects following prescribed contact strategies
- Send out Introductions via email
3) Managing/Maintaining Client Relationships (35%)
- Manage requests for pricing requests
- Looks for opportunities for all of CI-Groups core business
divisions (Agency, Print and Mail, Review Syndication and Sample
Programs, Warehouse, Kitting and Fulfillment, Branded Merchandise
and Corporate Gifting)
- Schedule conference calls and meetings at least monthly for all accounts
- Execute Client Business Review meetings
- Step in to help with any problems that may arise during the course
of a job/project/event
- Penetrate into existing account base
- Meet with current client in an attempt to grow business
5) Project Management (10%)
- Ensuring projects that span multiple departments stay on track
- Organizing efforts through multiple department heads
- Communicating any potential issues with all departments and
clients as needed
